The Pre-K year prepares the children for academic standards expected in our private kindergarten. Children have a structured day, with most academics concentrated in the morning.
Numbers, writing, letter recognition, and learning centers that allow the children to exercise their imagination! Vast art projects that center on many different themes are continuous, including math/science learning through cooking.
The hand-on approach also allows for individual learning, as the children get to ask questions and forage their own path to learning standards. Trips to the library in our school allow for a more intimate interactive learning environment.
Special programming includes music and movement education with Irene, and Stages Performing Arts Academy classes that are geared for 4 year old, such as mini-maestros on parade, dramatic storybook, bendable bodies yoga, and theater arts culminating in the end of the year play with the Kindergarten classes!
