Our much acclaimed preschool program combines daily play with a structured academic learning environment that sets our school apart.

The children take their acquired language and auditory skills from the toddler classroom and combine it with fine motor skills as they learn to write. Alphabet letter recognition and word/phonetic groups are stressed, as well as the many wonders of the world, including animals and the jungle, food and nutrition, native Maine landscapes, and famous children’s authors.

Daily classroom schedules include free play, circle time, learning centers, outside playground play, arts projects in the water & sand room (fun!!), cooking projects, and music time.

Stages Academy programming includes mini maestros, dramatic storybook time, bendable bodies yoga, and movement education. Summer programming is extra special, including under the sea costume parade, the Olympics, puppetry school, theater arts camp, county fair day, music concerts, and many special programs in the visual arts.
